Nutrient Depletion

Did you know that while the medications you are taking could help make you better in specific ways, they may also be depleting your body of essential nutrients in other ways? Many people can experience symptoms of nutrient depletion and not understand why they are feeling the symptoms they are feeling. It is always extremely important to speak with your pharmacist about your current medications to see if you could lose some essential nutrients due to your medications. Many of your medications could be blocking the absorption of nutrients your body needs. 

What are common signs and symptoms of nutrient depletion?

  • sleepiness
  • poor concentration

According to the World Health Organization, over 30% of the world’s population suffers from anemia. People who suffer with an iron deficiency will tell you that lightheadedness is a very common symptom for them.

Many of these nutrients can be found in your everyday foods but if feel you may not be getting the nutrients you need then speak with your pharmacist about over the counter vitamins and supplements that could help you put your body back in tip top condition. Remember, to keep your body functioning at its highest performance it needs all the vitamins and minerals you can give it along with that fresh air and exercise.
