Inflammation: The “Fire” Response

When something harmful or irritating affects a part of our body, there is a biological response to try to heal or repair it known as inflammation. Common signs and symptoms of inflammation are (PRISH) pain, redness, immobility, swelling, heat. These signs and symptomsshow that the body is trying to heal itself. Inflammation does not mean infection, even when an infection can cause inflammation. An Infection is caused by a bacterium, virus or fungus, while inflammation is the body’s response to it.  The good thing is, Inflammation is part of the body’s immune response which allows the body to heal itself on its own. The bad thing is, it can become self-perpetuating (chronic inflammation) that requires more attention= remedies to help your body help itself.
